Paolo Masi

Born in Florence where he lives and works.

Electronic screens.
A new language, a different visual-perceptive, energy that structures volumes in a dynamic succession. New light, new sign, new color, new transparency, a different sort of “painting” – The two-dimensional surfaces on which movement was once mimed, now becomes movement, light, shadow, everything illuminated frontally as usual, but which, in its transparency, becomes a global luminosity.
The television screen or the screen of a computer has an inner light, a back light that accentuates the lightness of the transparency. It is within this transparency where, as it goes along, various points of view can be seen, in various welcoming environments and people and things are enclosed in the spatiality of the work.
It is entirely open; it has not only a frontal plane and nothing behind, the lateral planes modify the context in which the intervention is installed, a redesigning of a space where it is possible to live, to influence the details of a path not concealing our presences and therefore our histories.
