Kinkaleri
Kinkaleri was given birth in 1995 as a grouping of formats and means balancing in the attempt. The group is composed by Matteo Bambi, Luca Camilletti, Massimo Conti, Marco Mazzoni, Gina Monaco, Cristina Rizzo. The dynamic nature of the company has let Kinkaleri follow a route of artistic growth necessary to find and bring to ripeness a personal creative line, achieving important acknowledgments in the Italian and the foreign scene of contemporary art and performance, as an experimental group of a new generation. All the productions bear therefore that transverseness of signs that in the scene of contemporary art are more and more bringing to a crisis the fruition of the representation: “a language kneading the languages making them foreign to themselves and then defining itself again somewhere else.” Due to its nature, the productive and creative course of Kinkaleri has always found its development by means of varied itineraries - plays, performances, installations, video-making, sonorizations, stage settings, publications - hosted by contemporary art museums, theatres, festivals, dance and theatre exhibitions, video contests and exhibitions, sound installations, discotheques, television creations.
“Self-discovery is fundamentally a simple matter of finding of oneself, with objects, and that is what always suffices from the moment that the inner life of six subjects setting off a series of impressions suggesting a series of imaginary things finally turn into objects in a staging, a performance, an installation; it is precisely that biographical dynamic that each of us is able to instill into a situation and which sets off reflections, images, materials that take on segments, singularly presented as emotions, and then are manipulated, managed in some way. The Kinkaleri group suggests a wholly fragile relationship from this point of view, without the slightest moral, ideological support: it decides to develop its own subjective dynamic of six persons which, at the end, create a seventh. And it is the seventh that shows the things concretely; this is not something we can consider a solution or something valid, but a mechanism that, by following a certain path, reveals a series of small specific, non-technical entities within a situation, and only when those regarding a view or a series of points of view manage to connect with one another to set off an assemblage of varying durations, do they present themselves as a whole. This, in the end, is a proposal of a single potential, that of the biographical dimension, which continually changes because it involves the experiences of six people outside of the group; they practice it each time they deem it necessary, and it inevitably becomes modified since different urgencies and different dynamics surface from each subject, different desires in need of an answer, and without which everything collapses, finishes. This entails continuous movement, a continuous in the making of each experience suggested to the others, in a conflicting way, full of friction, whose reason for being can be found in the final point, the construction of an object created, a staging, a work, an installation.”
